Brookville Helps The American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and other cities along the Gulf Coast in late August. 

Aiding the effort to rebuild the city, Brookville Equipment Corporation (BEC) proudly announces their contribution to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. 

BEC collected approximately $8,000 from its 100+ employees, matched by the company to total $16,000 to help the reconstruction effort. 

BEC is also aiding the renewal of the city by assessing the damage of the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (NORTA) streetcars, which were destroyed in the hurricane. 

Brookville previously restored half of NORTA’s crippled fleet in 2003.

The folks at Brookville Equipment lost a friend and attorney of 24 years, on September 6, 2005.

Richard W. Kooman II, corporate attorney for Brookville Equipment Corporation and member of the board for 24 years will be missed and fondly remembered by all that knew him.


The Clarion Area Attorney was 59 years old and suffered from melanoma.
