16-Man Battery Tractor Gatling LLC recently received the first of two 15 ton rubber tired personnel carriers for use in their Ohio operations. Built on powerful planetary axles, this tractor is designed for constant operation during the workday hauling cargo over uneven ground and on slopes of up to 13%. BEC’s rubber-tired units can transport miners or supplies in to the workspace utilizing the attached couplers. Utilizing two 50 hp GE motors to propel the unit on high floatation tires measuring 18x44 inches, this unit is prepared for any mine conditions.
